Hello everyone, boker tov lekulam, and welcome to our daily meeting for the study of the Hayom Yom. Today we are going to talk about Torah, Mitzvah, and Kedusha. In Lashon HaKodesh, the holy tongue, a name is never just a label. It shows us what things truly are.

And today, today is Monday, Yom Sheni of Parshat Chayei Sara, the 22nd of Cheshvan, 5784. I am infinitely happy to share this moment with you. Send us your dedications via WhatsApp at +336 217 24 52. But also send us your testimonials.

How does the Hayom Yom touch you? How does it allow you to grow, to understand, and to live with the rhythm of the parsha and the Chassidut of the week? Look closely at the words Galut and Geula. Galut, which means exile, and Geula, redemption.

They are almost identical. The only difference is that Geula has one extra letter, an aleph. What does that mean? That the Geula is not a world that comes out of nowhere.

The Geula is the entire Galut with everything we go through in it, but joined and illuminated by the presence of this aleph. Hashem created the universe as an Olam, a word with the same root as the word elem. Elem is the veil, Olam is the world. And yet, they are the same letters.

The world was made in such a way that the divine presence is veiled, and creatures do not spontaneously see where the Creator is. Despite the beauty of this world, it leaves the door open to all the difficulties and wars, hunger, sickness , jealousy, hardships, and trials. But the arrival of the aleph comes to change that. What is an aleph?

One of the meanings of the word aleph is aluf. Aluf, the Master. And when the Aluf, the Master of the world, arrives, He no longer hides at all. The elem disappears , the Olam appears, the aleph is revealed in broad daylight, and so, even if the matter of the world remains physically the same as during the exile , everyone will understand and see that Hashem is the Creator, that Hashem is here, and that He was behind every element of the world.

When the veil falls for good, when everything is revealed, then there will be no more hunger, no more war, no more jealousy— only good for everyone. B'karov. Chumash today, in the second aliyah, Avraham will bury Sarah in the Me'arat HaMachpelah and will send Eliezer his servant on a mission to find a wife for Yitzchak. He starts by buying the Me'arat HaMachpelah.

The text tells us, before the eyes of everyone. We saw the details yesterday. The Bene Heth and their children are present so that no one can ever contest that it belongs to him. Sarah is buried there.

3 years later, Abraham tells himself it is time for Isaac, who is 40, to get married. Abraham himself is 140 years old. He knows it is up to him to ensure that Isaac has descendants to continue his work. He makes his servant swear an oath.

He is not to go find a wife among the Canaanites. Even if the local inhabitants knew He was the Master of the world, they did not live in accordance with that at all . Abraham did not want that for his son. So he asks Eliezer to go to Haran, the land of his family.

Eliezer asks if, in case the young woman refuses to leave, could Isaac settle there with her? And Abraham's answer is clear. Out of the question, Isaac must remain in Eretz Israel and was raised as a sacrifice, as a korban during the Akedah He cannot leave this land. And since that is what Hashem wants, He will send an angel so that everything goes well.

To commit himself, Eliezer must take a very strong oath, a choice, since there were no objects carrying permanent holiness before the giving of the Torah , as we know the holiness of mitzvah objects vanished once the act was done. The only concrete mitzvah linked to his body that Abraham received directly from Hashem was Brit Milah, and it is this mitzvah that will be used for this oath , and Eliezer promises. He will help him accomplish his mission We are reading Psalm 106 and 107 today. We

are reading the and chapter 107 here begins with the words: " Give thanks to Hashem, for He is good, for His kindness is eternal." The word "hodu" means to thank, but it has another meaning; it also means to admit or recognize, what we call recognition.

What are we admitting? The Sefer explains that we know well that Hashem recreates the world every second and every instant, and that He is within us at every moment. But we do not see it with our eyes, as we said in the introduction to the Tehillim today. We must therefore admit it anyway.

But when Mashiach is here, we will no longer need to admit it by closing our eyes. We will see it directly. Who Siman 5, as we explained: the neshamah, the soul, needs levushim, garments, to enjoy the light of Hashem in the Garden of Eden. Rabbi Shneur Zalman shows that the Zohar writes it in black and white.

Simply put, it is by performing mitzvot down here that the neshamah crafts these garments, if you will, for the lower level of Gan Eden, which is called Gan Eden HaTachton. But for Gan Eden HaElyon, for the higher level, another type of garment is required. The Zohar HaKadosh tells us that these garments are the kavanot, the intentions, the fervor we put into our Torah study and our tefillah while we were in this world below. Kavanot means living with a full consciousness of what we are doing when we are praying.

Often, many thoughts emerge that prevent us from truly concentrating on our prayers, from saying the words, understanding what we are saying, or connecting to Hashem while studying Torah. All the worries of the world can come rushing in. Kavana means knowing how to concentrate first, and then directing our thoughts toward Hakadosh Baruch Hu, toward Elokut , the divinity, and the revelation of Hashem within the words we are pronouncing, whether in tefillah or Torah study. This kavana allows us to ascend from level to level and then enables us to rise to the level of Gan Eden, to create new levushim, new means of expression, tools that will allow a true attachment to Hashem at a supreme level.

Eden. Today, we see how precious it is to perform a mitzvah in this material world. When the Rabbeinu HaZaken went for the first time to his master, the Maggid of Mezeritch, in 5524, 1764, one of the first teachings he received was about this. The Maggid explained that Hakadosh Baruch Hu created an enormous number of spiritual levels, olamot, worlds, malachim, angels, but the reason for all of this is for a Jew to perform a mitzvah down here in the material realm The Maggid quotes a Midrash about Avraham Avinu.

It is the attribute of Chessed, kindness, that complained to Hakadosh Baruch Hu. Before Avraham arrived, I had work to do to bring Your kindness down into this world. But now, it is Avraham who does everything in my place. Even a spiritual force as powerful as Chessed was jealous of Avraham.

Jealous that he managed to use the kindness of Hakadosh Baruch Hu, not only above in the spiritual world, but through a real, physical, material mitzvah by practicing Hachnasat Orchim, having this extraordinary hospitality for everyone. We realize the luck we have to be able to perform mitzvot in this world. When we simply fulfill them , every little mitzvah is worth living for. A single moment in this world with a mitzvah is worth far more than the entire life in the world to come.

To come. In today's Rambam, we begin a new series of laws on the acquisition of ownerless property, what we call "Zechiah," and on gifts. In the first chapter, we are told about "Hefker." What is "Hefker"? It is property that has no owner, like fruit growing in the middle of a forest.

Well , the first person to pick them up becomes the owner. Chapter two here. The Rambam speaks to us and tells us how to show that an abandoned field belongs to us. Well, you must do something, an act to improve it or have the intention in your mind to acquire it.

Finally, in the third chapter, we are told about gifts. It must be very clear . If you just say to someone "I am giving you a field," well, the person receives nothing at all until you specify which field it is. Exactly.

That was the Rambam of the day. I invite you to share it with as many people as possible. Be blessed infinitely. We have studied for the merit of the people of Israel and in particular for the children who go to study Torah, who go to school.

May Hashem protect them, may He bless them infinitely. May Hashem send children to those who do not have any. Say Amen, Amen, wherever you are. It is important; it resonates throughout the entire world and before the Holy One, blessed be He.

See you very soon for the Rambam of the day. We have studied Shalom. See you very soon.
