There are people who fight with life; their way of dealing with the challenges of the world is a constant battle, and you can see it on their faces. As the years go by, it shows even more; they go through war, they go through hardship, it is etched into them, they don't shine so much. There are people who fight with life; their way of dealing with the challenges of the world is a constant battle, and you can see it on their faces. As the years go by, it shows even more; they go through war, they go through hardship, it is etched into them, they don't shine so much. And to tell the truth, we all have those moments where we descend into that place of struggle. But consider our Matriarch Sarah.

Sarah endured a very difficult life, hardships, famine, she was taken twice, just immense challenges , and she had no children for a long time. And yet, our Sages tell us that Sarah was so beautiful and radiant, as if she were a young woman, and that all this beauty stemmed specifically from Sarah's internal righteousness and innocence. But how is that connected? External beauty to internal matters of righteousness.

But that is precisely the point: when a Jew's soul shines within them, you naturally see it on their face. And their way of dealing with the world is a different kind of dealing. One can conduct oneself in the world through a path of war. One can also run away from the world, but Sarah teaches us a better way, a superior way, the true way: that a person is in the world but is connected to their soul, and consequently, they act within the world .

And when they are busy acting within worldly matters, they are not available to receive and be influenced. And this is something you see on a person's face , that the soul shines through them. So, where does a person's external beauty come from? From within.

Not from the outside, not from additions, but from the inner depths of the soul. Strength and light. Shabbat Shalom and blessings.
