Yes, long live our Master, Teacher, and Rebbe, King Messiah, forever and ever. Good afternoon, everyone. Today we will learn how we can actually awaken our faith in the coming of Moshiach. Yes, we know that any moment now, the Rebbe King Moshiach is coming to redeem us.

This is something we can already see in the world, but it’s still not "alive" within us; we have many other things we are occupied with, and with elections and all sorts of other matters. And therefore, in order to enter into this mindset of belief in Moshiach, we need to study it and see how it is truly unfolding before our eyes. Yes? So the Rambam, already in the Laws of the Red Heifer, writes that there will be ten red heifers: nine have already been made, starting from Moses our Teacher, then Ezra the Scribe, and from Ezra the Scribe, seven more were made.

And there is the tenth heifer, which is reserved for King Moshiach. And the Rambam concludes: "And the tenth will be made by King Moshiach, may he be revealed soon, Amen, may it be His will." The Rebbe speaks now in continuation of this; the Rebbe starts to emphasize this point, that the Rambam is, after all, a book of Jewish law. And suddenly , you are writing a law, saying that on Shabbat it is forbidden to turn on a TV , or that it is permitted to use a Shabbat timer, so where does "may Moshiach come immediately" suddenly fit in? The Rebbe truly asks about this, as if to say, ultimately you are writing a law here, so why is there a sudden prayer interjected into it?

In this context, the Rebbe speaks about the Redemption. Since we’ve already spoken about the prayer for the Redemption, the Rebbe begins to talk about the Redemption and how it is happening now. The Rebbe says that in recent times—specifically from '86— that's exactly when it started; before that, there was the Cold War between Russia and America, and they were constantly threatening each other, developing weapons, nuclear arms, and so on; everyone was trying to…it was right on the verge of an explosion, and then there was the first attempt at dialogue between the countries, between U.S. President Reagan and Russian President Gorbachev.

And the Rebbe says that an event occurred here where, suddenly, people discovered others— people who, until now, we didn't think had any good in them, suddenly we discovered they also have good qualities, they aren't just bad people; and the opposite as well. The Rebbe asked: What does this teach us? Everything that happens in the world should teach us something in our service of G-d; the Holy One, Blessed be He, does not do things for no reason . So the Rebbe says the only sign I can

understand from this is that because we are before the Redemption, and it is written that before the Redemption " many will be purified and refined," meaning that as long as we are in exile , darkness and light are mixed; and before the Redemption, the world begins to undergo a process where things start to be clarified and refined, and suddenly all the masks fall away.

We see this especially in our time when, with all the development of technology and social media, suddenly there are no longer any secrets. If a person does something bad, within a second the whole world knows about it; you can't hide anything, everything is revealed. And this is actually connected to the matter of King Messiah, whose role is to reveal the Holy One, Blessed be He, in the world. This is also our job as Jews, that we are constantly busy doing mitzvot, and when we perform a mitzvah, we reveal the reality of the Holy One, Blessed be He, in the world.

So, of course, if something bad happens, it's not that we just say "it's all good" because it's a sign of the Messiah; we must fight it with all our might, we must not let bad things continue, but we must know that it is part of the things that the Messiah is acting upon in the world in the end. Ultimately, it is for our benefit, but we must, we must deal with it in the right way. And the Rebbe now returns to this matter of the Rambam,

that the tenth red heifer will be made by King Messiah, may he be revealed speedily, amen, may it be His will, amen. When we pray for the Messiah, we must do it truly with all our heart and soul, and in such a way that the moment we mention something related to redemption, something that will happen when the Messiah comes, it should automatically come out of us.

The Rambam didn't just come to teach us stories of things that happened; there is a mitzvah of the red heifer, and the Messiah will come the moment such a thought about the Messiah crosses our minds. That is to say, it must already form within us as a request that the Messiah should come already, with the help of God, immediately and right now. For our master, our teacher, and our rabbi, King Messiah forever.
