And at the moment when the son is about to recite the Ma Nishtana, he says to his father, he says, "Papa, will I also recite the Ma Nishtana to you next year ?" And then the father has this incredible response. your Ma Nishtana this evening." Meaning that there is a cause-and-effect relationship. What is this cause-and-effect relationship? We were saying from the start, "Well, the Jewish people move forward despite the detours." Well, I can tell you something else: the Jewish people move forward because of the detours.
Why? Because when the path is smooth, there comes a point where you don't even know where you're moving, you don't even know what your direction is, you don't even know where you are going. But when the path is interrupted by unforeseen and sometimes painful things, it challenges you and allows you to question yourself and to ask yourself every time, "But what is my direction?" And you will notice that we, as young women, well, when we are on the streets of New York, we might cross paths with other people and we say to ourselves, " We have the same jobs, we have the same clothes, we have the same lifestyles, but we are so, so, so, so different." Why? Because inside of us, we carry all of these very detours.
Inside of us, we have Rachel. Inside of us, we have October 7th. Inside of us, we have the stories from the bunkers. And so this does only one thing.
It does not slow us down. On the contrary, it only makes us accelerate, and above all, it makes us accelerate in the right direction. And that is the essential thing. And that is what will ensure our identity, our longevity, and our eternity.
