Today, 1st of Cheshvan, we continue in the Iggeret HaKodesh, Letter 25, page 280 in the Tanya. We must know that everything that exists in holiness, has its counterpart— "God has made one thing opposite the other," says the Admor HaZaken. So just as in holiness there are 10 Sefirot, as we spoke about in recent days, the 10 powers of the Divine soul, so too "God made one opposite the other"—yes, in the Sitra Achra there are 10 crowns of impurity, that is, 10 crowns from the Tumah. And from them are drawn the souls of the nations.

From this are drawn the souls of the nations. From this they receive their vitality. They are likewise comprised of these very 10 aspects. And this is known on earth, the matter is known across the world.

What is written in the Sefer HaGilgulim by the Ari z "l regarding the verse of" a man rules over another man to his detriment. " This is the secret of the exile of the Shechinah within the Kelipot. That within the Kelipot there is holiness, and it is as if the evil rules over the holiness, seemingly. But in essence, who gives the vitality to the evil?

It is the holiness that sustains them and gives them dominion during the time of exile. Meaning, in the time of exile, we do not see the vitality of the holiness, and it is as if the vitality of holiness is clothed within the Tumah , and ostensibly a man rules over holiness to his detriment, as explained in Sefer HaGilgulim, where the reason is to clarify the sparks of holiness within the Kelipah. Why does the holiness descend below to perform the clarifications? What is called a descent for the sake of an ascent, yes, to extract the precious from the base, and so on.

And therefore the nations had dominion over Israel, because the souls of the nations are from the Kelipot, and since the Shechinah is clothed in a state of exile within them during the time of exile, ostensibly the nations are ruling. And the Admor HaZaken summarizes it as follows: And now, even though this mode of the Shechinah being clothed in exile within the Kelipot requires broad explanation as to how it is; nevertheless, the truth is that it is so. Yet, despite this, the Kelipot and the nations do

not derive and receive their vitality except that the influence is drawn to them through a state of" backwards "— even when they receive vitality from holiness, it is only a state of" backwards. "And one must remember that all the vitality of the Kelipot is temporary; all evil is temporary, all darkness is temporary.

The true reality is holiness; the true reality is the Divine light. But that the Divine light gives vitality to the Kelipot—this is a state of" backwards, "like one who throws something over his shoulder to his enemy, which is called" from behind , "as explained in the Tanya in Part 1, Chapter 22. And even so, this itself is through many great and vast contractions and screens, until the light is clothed in the materiality of this world, and it bestows upon the nations their happiness, their honor, and all worldly pleasures. And if a Jew wants to draw from the Kelipah, sometimes he receives vitality from the Kelipah even more, but one must know that this vitality is temporary.

For a Jew, his true reality is to draw from holiness, to receive from holiness, to be connected to holiness. Unlike Israel , who draw from the aspect of the" upper faces, "the inwardness of the Holy One, blessed be He, as it is written: how is it said in the Priestly Blessing," May the Lord make His face shine upon you "—each according to the root of his soul and his level, each according to the root of his soul and his level from where he is meant to

receive. Meant to receive from holiness ! When a Jew connects to the Holy One, blessed be He, he receives all his vitality from holiness, and this is for the time to come when there will no longer be a sealed spirit, a spirit sealed off from the earth.

We must always remember that holiness is eternal and the husks are temporary.
