Usually, when you make a mistake, you feel that something is broken, something is gone, it can no longer be fixed, that reality has been ruined. In our Parsha, Parshat Lech Lecha, we see that "Lech Lecha" is written for Abraham our father, and just when Abraham reaches the Land of Canaan, there is a famine and he goes down to Egypt. A plot twist, something went wrong, something is not going as it should, and yet all of this is included in the name of the Parsha, "Lech Lecha," an era of walking and progress. This is a message, "Torah" from the word "hora'ah " , for a person's life.

Usually, when you make a mistake, you feel that something is broken, something is gone, it can no longer be fixed, that reality has been ruined. In our Parsha, Parshat Lech Lecha, we see that "Lech Lecha"(a matter of walking and progress) is written for Abraham our father, and just when Abraham reaches the Land of Canaan, there is a famine and he goes down to Egypt. A plot twist, something went wrong, something is not going as it should, and yet all of this is included in the name of the Parsha, "Lech Lecha," an era of walking and progress. This is a message, "Torah" from the word "hora'ah "(instruction), for a person's life.

You must know that reality itself is certainly part of the progress and ascent, it is through wonderful Divine providence. But even when a person commits an act of transgression, an act of harm, an act that ruins, seemingly the act itself is one matter and the result in reality is another matter. Regarding the act, one must repent. They repent and they are immediately redeemed.

When there is redemption, they reach the land that You will show, like Abraham our father. But regarding reality, and this is the important point, you must know that reality has not been ruined; this reality itself is also part of "Lech Lecha," even when we made a mistake and even when it seems so to us. One must divide it in two: for the act, we will repent, but reality is surely a good part and part of progress. Remember this, "Lech Lecha ," a blessed Sabbath and year.
