Now, if you do something perfect but there is no will behind it, your action is worth absolutely nothing. If you have a very great will and your action is practically nothing, it has enormous value. Because what counts in this world is the degree of will in your life. That's it. It's the only thing you can say about a living being, that it is measured by its degree of will. Just because people do many things doesn't mean they want to do them. So all of that doesn't count, because when God created the world, that's the only thing he was missing. If we can say that something was missing, it's that there was no human will at the creation of the world.
