Does Hashem really, truly need us to read from a Siddur without understanding anything, without having any Kavanah? The only thing we can give to Hashem is our actions. It is true, He wants us to give Him our actions, but our actions are small. Right? Compared to all of His greatness. The only thing we can give that would have real depth, real importance, is our heart. To serve Hashem with our heart, to have a heart that is very, very big. Because in reality, it is the only real contribution a Jew can bring into the world.

The only thing he can truly bring into the world is to have a pure heart, a heart as big as Hashem's creation—or not quite as big, but very big. And that is what Hashem wants . He says, "I have placed you in a world that is wonderful. Stop your pettiness, stop your small, petty gestures and your petty behaviors.
Put depth into your actions. When you study the Torah, know that this Torah that you are studying, who gave it to us? It is Hashem who gave it to us." And within it, there is a lot of depth. If you want to know, look at how big the universe is.
Look at how deep it is. Therefore, His Torah is at least as deep as the universe He created. So let us not see in the Torah small texts or petty disputes. For example, we read the story of the brothers who argued.
There are great depths within that. Even when we see the sin of Adam HaRishon, which will accompany us this Shabbat. There is much depth in that. So let us stop seeing things with pettiness.
Let us see things with greatness, with depth. And that is what Parashat Bereshit teaches us here. The One speaking to you is the One who created the world. And look at how magnificent and grand the universe is.
Hashem, I wish for us, BeEzrat Hashem, a year of depth, of intelligence, of moving forward in life, and of deepening all these beautiful things that are in the Torah. Shabbat Shalom.
