On the 12th of the month of Adar, we have a Parashah that is meant to give us great strength for the coming week, filled with surprises—only good surprises that God provides for everyone, and especially for the Land of Israel. And I think that if the Torah gives us numbers, it’s not for nothing. It is the only time that even Rashi—well, not the only time, but it is rare that Rashi brings up numerical values, because while numerical values are nice and you can spend hours on them, you must draw a message from those numbers. That number, we are not just accountants.

So, the Parashah begins with the number 75, which is Abraham's age. If you look closely at the whole Parashah, it starts at 75 years old and ends at 99 years old. 24 years of Abraham where he experienced, I don't know if we should call it an electrocardiogram or a cable car, he goes up, he goes down; God told him to leave everything, to let go of everything, He would give him everything. He arrives in Israel, he loses his money, he leaves, he goes to Egypt, he returns, he has family issues with Lot, he fights wars, he has no children, he waits until he is 86; he says: "God, what is this?" He says, " Wait, Ishmael will come out," it’s just ups and downs.

The numerical value of 75 in the Parashah, it is our mission, it is bitachon. That is trust in God, because the faith Abraham gave us, we all have that blood, that DNA; we all have faith in God. There is no such thing as someone who is not a believer, even if they say so; at the end of their life, for one minute, they are a believer, but trust, bitachon, that is every day, it goes up, it goes down, that is the number 75. Another number that Rashi also mentions was when Abraham had to go to war, and he took 318 soldiers with him.

What is this number? 318, Rashi says, is the numerical value of Eliezer. This means, according to the Midrash, he went all by himself with Eliezer. Where did he get 318 friends from now?

Abraham just returned from Egypt with the trouble he had with Pharaoh. So it tells us that sometimes you don't need to be many, big, or strong; it is enough to be well-accompanied by one person. 318 is also the numerical value of SAR. It's prayer, that we have good prayer, that we have this good mix, especially in Israel, with soldiers who are there to fight along with the study of Torah.

When we have both at the same time, everything can work. We will finish by reminding ourselves of something beautiful because it is our mission for this week. There is in the Midrash Bereshit Rabbah, the Midrash says there why, when we pray every morning, we ask >> Abraham. Where did Isaac and Jacob go?

So the Midrash says, no, God said to Abraham in this parashah blessing, the signature is only with your name. What is the signature according to the Baal Shem Tov? The last generation, the end of history, our generation, if you will , we have the same mission as Abraham. No, we shouldn't work now on being the most knowledgeable and knowing all the sources; ChatGPT or artificial intelligence will know better than you.

No, not fear either, like "watch out if you don't do it, it's hell." Our mission is bitachon, Abraham; we must work on our emunah every day, of course , through the study of Torah and the fear of God and the love of God. But our mission for the last generation, the signature of all generations, what is it? It is the same mission as Abraham's. Every day, we will go through an electrocardiogram.

This week too, perhaps in Israel, I don't know. Elections, left, right, it can go in every direction. So we are going to take strength, we are going to hold on —75 is bitachon, 318 is prayer—and well, we will have a royal week, shalom aleichem.
